Hoteikan Blog. Vol 9 June 2011

Greetings to all,
Well I hope this Blog finds you all in good health. The summer is upon us and it's time for outdoor activities, time off from school and of course more training!
This will be my last Blog for the summer, so here is what's going on.

1) West Point Judo Team concluded a very successful season! Prior to the end of the school year several cadets and one Major, tested and received their Black Belts:
2LT Danielle Munoz
2LT Brock Chavez
2LT Joshua Sandhaus
2LT Anthony Adez
Major Mike Shattan

The cadets are now off for the summer. Congratulations to you all!

2) The Arizona Desert Warriors conducted another successful workshop in May and have another one scheduled for July. Desert Warrior Shodan Victoria Marcus will be testing for Nidan in July. She also will be competing at the USA World Championships in Vegas at the end of June. Best of Luck V!

3) The New Bushido Dojo in S.D. is busy preparing for the Hoteikan Combat Jujutsu Seminar on June 18th. Grandmaster Santiago Armstrong is the chief instructor for the event. Contact Sensei Brad Walker for details.
We will be working on San Do Ichi Ryu concepts with the Hoteikan members on Friday night, and Stand up to Ground concepts on Saturday. This promises to be a great seminar!

Last, I would like to wish you all a wonderful summer! Enjoy your time off from school or your well earned vacation time. Don't forget to continue training hard! Our next official Blog is set for September!

Until then, train hard and stay loose!!!!
