Greetings to all,
 
The Fall is finally here and the weather is cooler, the leaves are turning colors and there is a chill in the air. It's time to turn up the heaters and the training!
 
Here are some of the things going on in the world of Hoteikan!
 
Hoteikan Dojo, Bklyn, N.Y.:
The month of November is full of activity.
 
1) Women's self defense course starts every Thursday during this month.
 
2) The eXtreme Team Martial Arts League is starting this month.
 
3) Saturday, Nov. 19th Soke Emilio Claudio & Shihan Gary Rasanen will conduct a Judo Seminar at the Dojo.
 
4) There will be a high kyu and Shodan testing that same day. Shodan candidate William Ferraro is testing.
 
5) Superkids inner Dojo Tournament is scheduled
 
New Bushido Dojo, Souix Falls, SD
 
1) the tournament season has come to an end. It was a good season for the group.
 
2) Sensei Paul Farley taught a combined Judo & Jujutsu seminar in October that tested the stamina of the group.
 
3) Dojo members Aaron & Shane represented the group well at the Desert Warrior workshop in AZ. They had the honor of being Uke for Soke Claudio during the event.
 
4) We are gearing up for a long cold winter!
 
Desert Warriors Dojo, Scottsdale, AZ
 
1)We concluded our very successful workshop in October.
 
2) Our own Sensei Victoria is now an undergrade student at UCDavis and continues to train in Karate to perfect her skills with the campus Karate club.
 
3) We will be conducting our 1st Self- defense tournament in December.
 
4) We have several students gearing up for promotions.
 
5) Weapons training is set to begin this month, Iaido & Bo staff.
 
USMA Judo Team, West Point, N.Y.
The Judo team continues it's quest for excellence!
 
1) West Point Judo Team Black captures the Japanese Ambassadors Cup!
 
2) West Point Judo Team Gold captures the Navy Commandants trophy!
Both these events were done at the Naval Academy in Anapolis.
 
3) The team was at the Air Force Academy in Colorado looking for more gold as this blog was completed. More info to come.
