Meet Sensei Rebecca Carrano
Hoteikan Dojo, Brooklyn, N.Y.
Rebecca Carrano has trained with the Hoteikan System for nine years. She recently received her second degree black belt and is an instructor at the Hoteikan Brooklyn Dojo. She currently teaches a Cardio Kickboxing Class and has a waiting list of adults wanting to try her class. She's taken seminars with Tae Bo's famous Billy Blanks and Women's Kickboxing champion Kathy Long. Her classes are intense but rewarding!
Rebecca has a masters degree in early childhood education and has utilized her expertise in child development to construct a Lil' Dragons Pre-Karate program specifically for children ages 3-5 years old. Rebecca holds a career as a licensed early childhood educator, teaching in the NYC public school system. She is also a Certified Coach and assists coaching the Hoteikan Dojo tournament team. Right now, Rebecca continues to train and teach. "I never get bored with my training. I love the discipline, physical, and mental demands of the martial arts." She teaches private lessons, Lil' Dragons, and Kickboxing classes throughout the week.
